Causes of infertility

Infertility is a serious medical, social and demographic problem. According to WHO estimates, the problem currently affects around 10–16 per cent of people of reproductive age. In Poland, around one million couples are affected, the majority of whom are not receiving care from specialist centres dealing with the diagnosis and treatment of fertility problems. Comprehensive diagnosis is essential to determine the cause of the problem and take the appropriate steps to make it possible to conceive.

There are many causes of infertility, and their underlying factors can vary. Among the most common causes of infertility are hormonal disorders and ovulation disorders.
