Natural methods

Sometimes, when trying for a baby, you may need some extra support. This doesn’t always have to involve complex procedures such as IVF. It is not uncommon for our patients to achieve success using natural fertility support methods. Find out what we offer in this area!

Effective solutions for parents-to-be

Have 12 months passed without success in trying for a baby? Despite having sex regularly (2–4 times a week) without using contraception, are you still not pregnant? Seek help from our specialists. The INVICTA Clinic offers support not only in the form of advanced procedures, such as in vitro fertilisation. In your case, natural methods may well prove to be entirely sufficient.

Natural fertility support methods involve measures designed to improve the efficiency of the reproductive systems and the quality of gametes, leading to successful fertilisation and pregnancy.

Global trends in fertility support

It has been known for hundreds of years that fertility can be supported using natural methods. In traditional Chinese medicine, specific holistic strategies are still practised today, designed to deliver highly desirable results. These include: dietary changes, acupuncture and Shiatsu massage. Physical activity is also worth adding to this list.

In terms of diet, it is recommended to eat fresh fish rich in omega-3 fatty acids, which help regulate ovulation cycles and improve the quality of eggs. Foods rich in vitamins E, C and B are also important, as they help to stimulate and regulate hormones. Other recommended foods include cruciferous vegetables, such as broccoli, cabbage and Brussels sprouts, which help the liver process oestrogen, as well as pumpkin seeds, which are rich in zinc, supporting reproductive health in both men and women.

It is worth remembering, however, that these are methods practised by many couples around the world as a first step before consulting a doctor and beginning treatment at a clinic specialising in infertility issues.

Our methods – Your success

At INVICTA Clinics, we use only tried-and-tested, scientifically proven natural methods, which have proved successful for many of our patients.

  • Monitoring the phases of a woman’s menstrual cycle is one of the most important aspects of planning a pregnancy. The fertility calculator is a tool designed on the basis of the natural patterns of a woman’s menstrual cycle. Its purpose is to help you identify the fertile days during your cycle when the chance of becoming pregnant is highest, and those on which conception is unlikely.

  • The primary diagnostic test we carry out for people who are starting to try for a baby is a hormonal assessment. In addition, we carry out a semen analysis as the primary diagnostic test for male infertility. During subsequent appointments, we assess the woman’s menstrual cycle and carry out a test to check the patency of the fallopian tubes.

  • Up to 40 per cent of cases of female infertility may be caused by ovulation disorders. Modern methods of ovarian stimulation are highly effective, so if a lack of ovulation is the sole cause of difficulty in conceiving, the prognosis for this type of treatment is very good. Furthermore, if the underlying cause of this disorder is treatable, ovulation induction can often achieve pregnancy rates comparable to those seen in the general population.

  • The initial stage of treatment using the naprotechnology method is based on standard infertility diagnosis. It is exactly the same as in fertility clinics, with one difference. The issues faced by patients at infertility clinics are considered more broadly, and additional measures are implemented during treatment which are not carried out in naprotechnology.

Natural methods – how to get started?

The first stage will be a comprehensive assessment, which will enable us to identify the cause of your difficulty in conceiving. Many fertility problems can be resolved using natural methods. How do you start treatment?

Step 1

Book your first appointment with your doctor and bring your partner along. Make sure you bring your up-to-date medical records with you.

Step 2

Once the consultation has taken place and the medical records have been reviewed, our doctor will plan the next steps in your diagnosis. You will be given a referral for specialist tests.

Step 3

The results of the tests carried out at the INVICTA Laboratory will be sent straight to your attending doctor – you will then be asked to contact the specialist again.

Step 4

At this stage, the doctor will select the best natural treatment for you, tailored to your individual needs.

TIP: You can have both your first and second appointments online at our Virtual Clinic.
